In this wild, wild world of tweets, texting, cell phone calls on the run, internet news casts regurgitating all the latest bedroom scandals over and over again, and the noisy noises of urban living, we've lost a vital skill, story telling. The stories that are our heritage aren't written. The memoirs we all should be creating for our kids and grandkids are not being keyed in on our harddrives or placed on a piece of paper. When I announce a new Have Fun - Write A Story writing workshop, people come, listen, take notes, and then go home and tuck the notes away to gather dust. No one wants to take the time to put words on the page. No one wants to paint the word pictures that can inspire family members, and carve out small pieces of history that will be momentos for the next generation.
